A Passion for Small Business,
a Love for Words
I’ve always been fascinated by business. As a child, I would listen in when my dad’s friends gathered to talk shop, intrigued by the energy and ideas being exchanged. I didn’t understand it all back then, but I knew one thing—business was where people created something bigger than themselves.
That curiosity turned into a lifelong passion. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats: independent consultant, project manager, business strategist, author. I’ve worked with Fortune 100 companies like Apple, PepsiCo, and AT&T to manage multimillion-dollar projects and help streamline systems. But my heart has always been with the small business owners—the ones who pour everything into what they do, who build something from the ground up, who make life better in ways big and small.

Let’s talk about what matters most for your business—no pressure, just a real conversation.

Why Small Business Matters to Me
Small businesses are the backbone of our communities. They employ more people than any corporation ever could. They bring us the products and services that make life easier, better, and more enjoyable. They take care of us—our homes, our businesses, our personal lives.
And yet, running a business can be isolating. Marketing, operations, hiring, finances—it’s a lot to juggle, and it often feels like you have to figure it all out alone. I know that feeling because I’ve been there.
Like many entrepreneurs, I started my business while still working a demanding “day job.” I’ve navigated the challenges of growth, doubled the revenue of a client in 90 days, and wrestled with all the moving pieces that come with turning an idea into something real.
The Power of Words
Through it all, one thing has remained constant: my love for writing and learning. Books have always been my greatest teachers, my companions, and my inspiration. So when I saw how many business owners had expertise worth sharing but no clear way to package it, I knew I could help.
I started Taylor-Bos Books (DBA Ask Shauna) to support authors who want to make a difference—not just in their own lives, but in the lives of others. Writing my own books, including Taming Time and Start Your Business Right, reinforced what I already knew: knowledge is power, but only if it’s shared.

A Life Well-Lived
Beyond business, I believe in soaking up life. I love the tropics, exploring new places, living healthy, and enjoying great food and wine. I’m a mom, a constant learner, and someone who believes that business—and life—should be both fulfilling and fun.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: small business owners deserve more support, more recognition, and more ways to be heard. That’s what drives me, and that’s why I do what I do.
